Ventura County California. My wife had 4 interviews for an opening at a well known, established, international company. Everyone loved her, her work history, her professionalism. All agreed she is the one for the job. Yes, you're hired. We're so excited to have found you. Yes, come in Monday. She quit her current job. Today she got a call to tell her the CFO (who did not interview her) decided he wanted to hire within. She is devistated. Talk about emotional distress.
My wife has been looking for permanent work, good pay with a good company for several years and lost confidence in her search. This company was great, she was happy. Now she's jobless, emotionally spent and even less confident. Does she have "ANY" recourse here? She trusted them when they told her she was hired and took action to prepare for her new job. Now she has nothing. Do THEY risk NOTHING?
My wife is over 55 and has over 20 years excellent experience and track record in the job she was hired for.
Thank you in advance for any support you can offer.
