My husband was denied life insurance coverage due to an imbezelment charge he was convicted on in 1996, for which he served almost 1 year. Is this legal? We live in the state of Mississippi.

It is legal if they apply the same underwriting standard to all who apply for the same coverage.

There is also no requirement for ANY life insurance company to be forced to accept a 'customer'.
