Since the start of my custody battle, (20-Sep-07) I have been denied visitation 4 times. For 3 weeks, the mother would not give me my daughters medication, which she is supposed to take everyday. There is an injunction on the boyfriend as well, and I have seen him over at the apartment when my daughter is there, which is not suppposed to be.

Ever since the 20th, she will not allow me access to her school binder, so that I can see how she's doing in school behavior wise as well as academically. On the 5th of October, I went to pick my little girl up, and she hit me in the back of my head because she was upset about something.

Given all these things, what should I expect if I decide to try and take her to court? Mind that we are under temporary orders as well.

Get a restraining order.

Contact the school to get information regarding your daughter's schooling. File a restraining order for the assault. File contempt for boyfriend violating the injunction and for not sending the medication and for denying you visitation.

Oh whoa, I thought it was the child that hit you. MOM hit you? No doubt -- I agree w/the others. Get a RO. And, do not hesitate for a second to follow the well-established steps to attempt to get visitation and document contempt. Only thing I don't know is how you can go get your kids for visitation per your CO for visitation when there's a RO in place that wasn't there when CO was filed.

Do not let her bully you. Time lost with the kids results in a break down of the relationship that has to be repaired (if possible) once you do get time again. Mom needs to know she's breaking the law with the assault and also civilly with the visitation CO and that you won't stand for it.

I agree with going to the school to get the information directly and see if you can make arrangements to have report cards (at least) mailed to you as they come out.
I thought he meant the child hit him, at first too... OP can also request a standby from the police for pickups until the RO is in place. Then mom will either have to find a third party for transfer of the child or make arrangements with the police or social service. The court should be able to direct OP to those offices.
