Deposition taken in August. September hearing to dismiss my husband's Chapter 7 was postponed because court reporter did not have deposition finished for us to sign. After 5 weeks, we received the transcript, reviewed, noted corrections, and returned everything to lawyer. It took us 2 days.

The lawyer had it for 2 weeks before mailing it to court reporter (which I understand - he wanted to review). The October date was then postponed because we did not get corrections back to sign. Now it has been 6 weeks and we still do not have the deposition/corrections to sign. Looks like the November hearing will be moved (set for next week).

Seems crazy to me. It took 5 weeks for the original transcript and it has been 6 weeks (and counting) for the corrections. The lawyer's office tells us nothing. My husband had to pay for this service through the lawyer and we have a copy of the invoice -- can we contact the court reporter directly to find out the status? What's "normal" for this?

**A: yes you can. And when you do, ask them the normal question.
