How are you suppose to protect yourself when the X is claiming you made a Derogatory remark to him infront of his children on the phone? I Document everything, down to all phone calls from him to me, visitations, What my son comes home and says. It is all in documentation. My son constantly comes home telling me that his step mom said, I am gonna wind up in major court because I am not following the judges orders over Halloween and ended up Halloween was not outlined in my parenting plan. He has said that his step mom said I don't need to put bleach in there clothes, I am putting my daughters pull ups on wrong and my daughters clothes are too small and I need to buy more. I get sick of hearing it. I just tell my son that I am sorry that things are being said to him that should not be. Now my attorney has gotten a letter from his claiming that he needs to talk to me about my behavior. That I have sent threatening messages through my son to his wife and that I have made "A" derogatory remark to him infront of my son. My son has told me, mom you never say nothing about them and they are always making comments about you and talking about you when I am over there. How do you protect yourself from people like this?

By letting him act the fool.

It's called D.I.V.O.R.C.E and apologies to Tammy, it sucks.

Forget it and let your attorney deal with it.
