My future mother inlaw has just returned to her apartment after a hospital stay. She has various medical conditions which limit her mobility. She also has hepatites C. The doctors and have set up physical therapy at home and family members have made arangements for neighbors and part time nursing to care for her.
The manager of the complex has stated that she will in no way allow her to be alone in the apartment. She insists that she will not allow or send anyone in the apartment to repair anything because they will be infected. She has also told surrounding neighbors that she has hepatites and that is is worse than AIDS and that everyone should not have any contact with her and also threatened them with eviction if any of them enter her apartment or assist her in any way.
Now I could understand her concern if she had hepatites B. It is a health concern to others but hepatites C is not and the fact that her doctors are not concerned about this and have given their full consent to her living at home situation that this is not an issue.
She is very upset with the fact that no one will come near her and is entering a severe state of depression which will not help her recovery. She is very unsure of herself after having brain surgery a year ago, then a kidney removed and the most recent problem of a semi-coma condition resulting in a month long hospital stay.
We need a quick remedy to ensure no further risk to her health.
