What is the name of your state? California

I was wondering if it was legal to offer different coverage to employees of the same company within the same state.

In Northern California the employees are offered Kaiser and are given fertility coverage of 50% with no cap.

In Southern California employees are offered HMO and PPO through Blue Cross/ Blue Shield and are given fertility coverage of 50% with a cap of $2500/year.

This can amount to a big difference. Any input is appreciated. Thanks.

It's legal. Most likely the one plan is not available in the other area, or if it is, it's not available at a comparable price. This is always a problem when there are employees in different areas of the state, or of the country. Your employers are probably not any happier about it than you are.
