My apartment complex gave me a piece of paper that basically wanted me to tell them how long I was going to sign our new lease, like an intent to lease. So I filled out the paper and returned it stating I was planning on signing another 1 year lease. Well it's 6 months past that and I have yet to sign the new lease and we are really wanting to move into a rent house. My question is, is the piece of paper I gave them anything that is binding? Like I said I have not signed a new lease and I'm not paying the month to month fee, do you think I could just give my 30 days notice and move out or would that be breaking my lease or intent to lease?
