Georgia-Can your duties be diminished or removed based on the Mgt.'s opinion that your contact/counterpart doesn't like you. I had informed my Manager that this person had propositioned me but I had turned him down then a few months later, the person demanded that my company fire me. Instead of firing me, they removed the duties that related to this person which adversely affected the terms and conditions of my employment as well as discrediting and damaging my professional reputation. This person doesn't even work for our company but is very influential. (Local President of Union) Other than poor mgt. style, would I have a case for discrimination? Another point, there have been other managers in the past (all male) that this person wanted fired but their duties were never changed or altered. Should I just be happy to have a job?
