Hi, I'm from Colorado.
I have a friend of mine who was told by his doctor that he needs to have shoulder surgery. His company does not have nor offer disability insurance, and according to the doctor this injury is related to the type of work that he has been doing. He is a painter in the construction field. He has three children and is a single parent and needs some sort of income to provide for his family. Does he have any options? Would he qualify for disability through social security? What about unemployment?
