Hi,
we received our discharge papers the other day but are still receiving re affirmation papers, what is this about. We are now also getting calls about a couple of bills that was included, but when I told them that it was in the bankruptcy, they said that they never received anything on it. Need any advice, not sure what to do. thanks, Amber

Im sorry, I should have stated that this was a chapter7. If they now say that they did not receive anything on the bankruptcy, can they still go after the money or us. Funny thing is, there was a ton of bills, mostly medical, every one else received the notice. Thanks for any additional advice.

You should get in touch with your BK attorney, he/she can handle this for you, SHOULD handle it for you. For all you know, they're lying about being notified. At any rate, pull out your creditor matrix in your BK papers and make sure that these creditors ARE on it, if so, the debt is discharged. You can also give these callers your BK case number and send them a copy of your discharge papers and they will have to stop calling you. Or, just give them the number of your BK lawyer.
