I have been disabled since 1993 and my homeowners insurance is so high that I can hardly make the payments anymore. Does anyone know if there is any kind of discount for people with disabilities.

There is not, but what you might want to do, in whichever state you are in (you erased our only question ) is call your insurance agent and ask that you be shopped around.

If you have had your coverage a long time, sometimes the policy's inflation protection will have the limits of your home too high, so just give them a call to review it. .

You can get a discount for having all of your policy's put together.. (home and auto) there is a discount for getting a alarm system, you can also make sure your homeowners policy is giving you credit for your deadbolt lock.

You can try to raise your deductible, but you have to be careful with that, something might happen to your home, and you would need to be able to cover that deductible.

Basically if you do not have an agent, you should call one for some quotes, and if you deal with a direct company (liberty mutual or the like) then you can call them and ask for quotes using different policy limits and extras ...
