www.tsc.state.tn.us/opinions/tsc/rules/TNrulesofcourt/civlproindex.htm

Discovery rules are part of the rules of civil procedure governing civil lawsuits (divorce, etc.)

Discovery means how you find out what the other side has for evidence.

E.g., interrogatories, depositions, requests for admission, etc.

Google all those terms and do your research.

Thank you so much seniorjudge. Is it possible that when this happens that whoever they are doing this to that they could try to make their stories match in order to make it look like they are doing nothing wrong?

I am not sure what you are asking but discovery's purpose is to make sure that there are no surprises during the trial of the lawsuit.

Check your county's web site if possible as well, I know the county which is handling our case also has some additional rules that they impose (don't know about Blount County though) so that may also give you some other things to search into.

Thanks, hopefully things go well for you as well, you don't live far from me though. I can make it to Maryville in 30ish minutes assuming no lonely state troopers along the way :D

I agree; sometimes there are county/circuit/district "local rules" which could be a little different. These MAY be found on your state's supreme court website (if the county does not have a website).

You don't how many times I have seen state troopers pulling people over in Maryville. Where do you live, if you don't mind me asking?

I am in Oliver Springs, and one of the little pricks gave me a ticket for going 66 in a 60  And the judge made me go to drivers ed  So I was a big meanie and decided to take my 2 week old baby with me to class :D Needless to say the instructor didn't want me there with a baby but I just said I didn't have a babysitter, so they gave me my certificate and sent me home!!

TN- I know this is an old thread but, it goes with this thread. During deposition/discovery, are the questions asked yes and no or are they questions that they expect you to give a detailed answer? Any help would be appreciated.
