What is the name of your state? kentucky

I wondered what rights I have to write an article or speak about specific people or corporations whom are competition for the same service I provide. Can I name names and quote articles they have written? Can I use their facts and claims against them?
Where can I find written laws to show me the limits I can go and laws protect me from being sued?

That's what a lawyer is for. You are not going to go to a statute and have it say, "this is okay, but this is not" -- you need to have someone who can look at what you want to do and tell you if it is 'likely' to cause someone else to want to sue you -- there are no absolutes.

And there are no laws to prevent you from being sued -- anyone can sue anyone else for anything they want -- fi a claim is without merit, the judge will throw it out. But there is nothing to prevent you from having to defend yourself against a lawsuit.

At least if you work with a lawyer, the lawyer can help you determine what is likely to be a legal use of your competitor's information and name, and that should minimize the risk. But there are no absolutes, and this is the kind of really contentious area where a few bucks on a lawyer up front may save you a boatload of trouble down the road.
