What is the name of your state? California
I have recently had several disputes with my job regarding not getting paid, having my insurance cancelled for non pay even though they were deducting payments from my check and not getting my stipulated raise I was guaranteed by our union agreement. So needless to say I have been the squeaky wheel for the last 6 mnths at work.
Now the company is discriminating against me for having a disability. I know this might sound trite to some of you but it is really ticking me off. I have worked for the company for over 6 1/2 years. We pick our shift based on senority and of course I have a lot of it. Anyway I was not given my picks for new hours. I work for a call center. The company explained that I didn't get my picks because the supervisor I would be reporting to is upstairs. I do have a disability but it doesn't prevent me from taking the elevator and the company has never prevented me from sitting upstairs in the last 6 1/2 yrs. There are several employees who have mobility issues but they didn't put restictions on there seating arrangements or restrictions on their shifts. I was never informed that I could only pick shifts with seating arrangements downstairs.
Can my company enforce an accomodation on me that I don't want?
