Discrimination against recording? (California)

If a business refuses to serve you because you are audio recording the conversation, can you sue for discrimination?

[By my understanding] In California, you are generally required to inform someone that you are recording them, but you are not required to obtain their permission, unless there is absolutely no reason to assume privacy of the conversation.

"People who are recording a conversation" are not a protected group under the law.

Therefore, refusing to serve you is not illegal discrimination and you cannot sue.

Or, to put it absolutely accurately, if you sue, you will lose, and it's a toss up whether you're be laughed out of court or the judge will tear strips out you for wasting his time.
