my husband has worked for a trucking company in north carolina for a number of yrs driving and being a dispatcher for them for a year. at the end of that yr another employee of the same company that hs been a rival for a lot of yrs against my husband-- got the dispatch job and my hsbnd was put back to driving. His health got worse over the yrs and he has asked the boss for an office job as well as on the advice of his doctor to try to get an office job, there have been office jobs that have come up in the past few yrs but he has been passed over by other people or they have said there is nothing available then they would put someone in a position a week later. He is on medical leave now and has company insurance but they have said he must pay his own insurance and he has not been fired, quit or been released from the doctors care. A member of the company personel told me he was of no use to the company if he wasnt able to drive, because there is no position available for him other than driving. Is this fair?
