I'm a high school student in Pennsylvania. I haven't been in school for some personal issues and I just received a letter informing me that I have been dis-enrolled from my school. The full text is below but I was wondering what my options here were.
Pursuant to chapter 11, 22PA code subsection 11.24 unexcused illegal absences, children whose names are on the active membership roll, who are at anytime in the school term absent from school for 10 consecutive school days shall thereafter be removed from the active membership roll. The student may be readmitted only if: 1. it is verified that the absences were legitimate and due to extenuating circumstances or 2. if compulsory attendance prosecution has been or is being pursued. As of this date 4/26/10, your child has accumulated at least 10 consecutive days of unexcused/illegal absence, from 4/12/10 through 4/26/10. he is to be disenrolled effective 4/26/10.
