Dishonest Attorney?

What is the name of your state? California

I have had an ongoing workers comp injury for 5 years now. I've been off work for the past year. My attorney sent me to a QME and I was not happy with what was done while I was there. The QME had an outline of what my attorney told him to find wrong with me. After the doctor did various tests, he said that he can't say what my attorney is asking him to say is wrong with me. He asked if I would be willing to agree to say that the problems my attorney says I have, I have. I told him no, that he needs to put in the report the honest findings of my medical condition.

Is this a normal practice for an attorney? I was hoping to be able to return to either work or vocational rehabilitation soon and from all the stuff my attorney is doing, it doesn't look like this will happen for at least another year. Now what?
