I hired an attorney to file a Chapter 7 petition. He filed the petition on November 20. However he did not file all the schedules immediately. The schedules were due on December 4. I provided him with all the information he asked for and he did not contact me for any additional info. I felt assured all was in order until I received a letter from the court stating that my case had been dismissed due to failure to file documents in a timely fashion. I have tried to get in touch with my lawyer but he has not returned my calls nor has he returned my e-mails. I left a message for the clerk at the court but have not heard back from him yet. I was curious if anyone knows what my legal options are? The most important thing is that I need to get the petition either refiled or reopened immediately. What should I do?
