What is the name of your state? PA

I'm petitioning for my husband's permanent residency, and got involved in a minor fisticuffs.

I am an American citizen, born and raised; we've sent his paperwork already to be processed.

I'm just wondering if *my* goof-up will affect him, especially considering I'd like to plea the charge down from a misdemeanor to a summary charge.

Any help would be appreciated muchly. Thank you!

USCs names are run through IBIS namechecks during the peition phase (I-130). If they have an outstanding felony warrent, they might hear from law enforcement, but your conviction should not be an issue in any other way.

Nope -- it's just a misdemeanor charge, which I'm hoping to get dropped to a summary charge (and the court date is next week, I think -- at the moment, I'm having trouble remembering what day it is [no sleep = not a good thing]).

Thanks for the reply! It's muchly appreciated :)
