I had a 6 month lease. On the fifth month I informed the lady in the office that I would be leaving early. The only thing that she told me is that I would be losing my deposit. I paid the last month that I owed on the lease even though I no longer lived there because of course it was in the lease contract. I left the place in very good condition, as I am a clean person. My problem is that they did not do a walk-out report with me (I left my forwarding address and phone number) and now they are sending me a bill for 400.00 for painting and other things that were totally not needed. I told them that they did not do a walk out report with me nor tried to contact me to do so. So my problem is that I feel because they did not do a walk out report of final walk thru with me I should not have to pay for these things. I feel they did not even do them and are totally ripping me off. I live in Des Moines Washington.

Sue in Small Claims Court. You do have photos/video of before and after and a move-in inspection report signed by L, don't you. If not, you just lost.
