dissabled can i sue

my husband has emphysimea, he got this from working 10 yrs. in a war weapons plant,& from working in an grain elevator.he is dignosed as it being a threat to his life.can he sue the war weapons plant & the grain elevator, & we know thir is a lawsuit going on with the energy dept.,with energy sectary bill richardson for every war weapons plant worker who contracted radition. but we donot know how to contact them for him to be on it, do they find these men thru dissability or do we have to contact them if so how do we contact them. please advise, thank you!

This is one to ask a personal injury or workers comp lawyer in your area. There are 3 issues --

1. How do you prove that working in the plant was the cause, rather than something else, like smoking or genetics.

2. Has the time to file an injury or workes comp claim elapsed (that is, what's happened in terms of the staute of limitations)?

3. If there are CLASS ACTION suits pending how do you make sure to opt in ort opt out, and will the class action lawyers likely get you something of vanue.
