do the same divorce laws apply to common law dissolution as a regular marriage? is a common law settlement agreement, noterized, good enough to dissolve the relationship, or do actual divorce papers have to be filed? i cannot find much information at all about common law agreements and dissolutions. please direct me to any good information on this subject.
thanks

My response:

Your "good information" is waiting for you at a Family Law attorney's office, of which you will be obtaining a FREE consultation - - just for the asking. So, make that phone call today !

You'll find out that there is NO DIFFERENCE in the divorce procedures, whether you're married by some sort of an officiate; e.g., priest, rabii, judge, etc., or if you're Common Law married. The procedures are exactly the same.
