What is the name of your state? Iowa

Can I file all my evidence and other required papers and not show up for the actual trial for my divorce? My wife is the Petitioner. I have been handling this pro se, so if I don't show, there won't be anyone to represent me. Is this ok or will I be found in contempt?

You probably won't have any problems not showing up other than you won't be able to contest any changes presented at that time. So if the child support amount is doubled, alimony is added and you have to give up your left kidney, you will have no reason to cry.
