My husband and myself live in Florida, we moved onto a mobile home rental lot in Sept. 1997 lived there untill the neighbors purchased the property out from under us (we defaulted our lease when laid off) in the proccess of moving we hit a few days where we could not come and get our belongings,(due to new job) the new owners threw away all of our remaining stuff, furniture, kids toy, clothes, everyones bedding basically we lost everything, including our mobile home which we were trying to find somewhere else to put it. We were never given any eviction notices nothing was ever even filed(I checked) All this happened in June of 1998. What are my legal rights? and/or is it to late to do anything about it?
Discusted in Florida!!!

My response:

How many is "a few days"? Did the new owners know how to contact you? Did you ask their permission to leave your things in "their" premises? Please answer all of these questions.
