I am in the state of GA, my boyfriend has been separated since Oct 1999(got married in June of 1999). He has filed for divorce, spouse wants possession of a gun that husband purchased from his grandfather before their marriage. Before husband had gun registered in his name, spouse (unknowing to husband) took serial number of gun and had it registered in her name. Husband has possession of the gun. Does he have to give her the gun. Grandfather is now deceased so he cannot testify that he sold husband the gun, however there are many family members and freinds that know the date of purchase. She also wants a John Boat that was given to spouse by his brother, is she entitled to anything that was given to husband? Please note that she took Everything from the marital residence down to towels and sheets when she left. Also she cut the telephone and cable televison lines, cut big pieces of carpeting from the floor, cut tires on boat trailer and put sugar in gas tank of boat motor. I would appreciate any advise that you have to offer.

I don't know what kind of marital state Georgia is (community property?) or when gun was purchased. Best thing he can do is take her to small claims court.
