i have recently been divorced when a friend told me that i could have gotten an annulment. i didn't take the time to know the person i married and and i opted for a quick divorce. i now realize i would still like to be married in the church. i was only married for 7 months and left him even before we had been married 3 months. how do i go about finding out how to get an annulment?

thank you a person in need

My response:

You can't now. Once you opt for a "divorce", and the divorce has been finalized, a court has no more jurisdiction to hear a case concerning "a change of heart" over the type of "dissolution" you chose, and the one you now wish to have. Your attorney should have advised you on the various forms of dissolution.
