What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Wyoming
During divorce proceedings, judge awarded me a vehicle with ex paying 1/2 the payments for one year. The problem is that the year has passed, and I am responsible for the remaining debt on the loan and cannot afford them.

The Finance company will not remove ex's name from the loan. Both of us have tried. Ex is now harrassing me because his name is not off the loan. I tried to refinance, but the loan is severely upside down and I wasn't able to do so.

I do not want the vehicle. The finance company is calling both of us. Ex is threatening to cut off all child visitation because of this (ex has primary physical custody).

Even with a court order, the finance company will not remove the ex's name. Ex is worried about his credit rating.

Is there a way to get the finance company to remove the ex's name from the loan obligation?
Thank you in advance!

The finance company is not a party to your divorce and those court orders do not affect it. The only way to get his name off the loan is for you to refinance or pay it off.

Ex has no right to prevent you from visiting your child over this, that would be a violation of the court order.
