I am currently in the process of a divorce in Florida. When I first filed for a divorce I tried to change my benaficiary on my life insurance and was told that state law required a spouse signature to be removed or you need to wait till the divorce is final. My Husband told me Friday in a conversation we had that he had put his life insurance in the kids name. I asked him how he did that being I was told I would need his signature to do the same. He said he just called up and they did it. He has forged my signature in the past on our IRS check so I wouldn't put it past him to have done it again. Can you tell me what the law is in Florida. And if he forged my name again what can I do about it. I have asked my attorney to check into this but he is very slow at responding. Thanks, FEDUPINFL

Then I suggest you get another attorney. YOUR ATTORNEY SHOULD KNOW THE ANSWER RIGHT AWAY. http://www.attorneypages.com

As for finding out on your own: http://www.doi.state.fl.us/
