This is for Nevada.
I am filing for a second divorce. I never changed my name from my first marriage. Can I do it with my second divorce? I am filing myself. Also, how can I change my son's last name to my maiden name. With the divorce, his father will be giving up all rights to him.

I am in South Carolina I will not have a divorce decree until September 2001 but I just went down to the local social security office and filled out a name change form. I had to show some ID with my maiden name on it. I got a new SS card in about 10 days with my maiden name and used that to change my name on my driver's license, payroll at work, and all bank accounts etc... Good luck. I was actually amazed at how easy it was to change my name on my SS card.
