What is the name of your state? KY

My sister has filed for divorce from her husband of 20 years. She draws 240.00 a month
SSD due to severe medical problems, she is 55 years old. Her husband also draws SSD due to mental and physical problems, he is 56 years old.

The SS office told my sister she was eligible to draw on his benefits because his is so much greater than hers, but now they tell her she cannot apply for any of his benefits until
he has died.

Is she entitled to any part of his social security at this time? I have read several threads
that may be similiar, but not any that addresses this particular circumstance.

Any information you can give will be greatly appreciated. Thanks
