In Georgia, how can you get a Divorce or Annulment from someone you haven't lived with in 10 years without that parties consent. What are the steps that need to be taken? Is there a state that has more liberal laws allowing this?

You best approach is to retain an attorney. You no longer need your spouses permission to get a divorce. It takes longer, but it can be done.

Thank you for your reply. Do you know what my first steps would be if I did it on my own? I cannot afford an attorney right now.
