What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? MA

My divorce was final 14 months ago and my ex-wife now lives 3,000 miles away. We have not spoken since the divorce was final. Divorce decree included a mediation provision for dividing the contents of the house that I now live in with our son. My position all along was that anything of value in the home should be sold with the proceeds to benefit our son with disabilities. I have now been warehousing these items of values plus her possessions for 3 1/2 years (since she left). I would like to sell what I can and dispose of the remaining items.

Question: In Mass is there a time limitation on the mediation provision, at which point she would forfeit any rights to items in the home and can I then sell or discard any remaining items?

You have to define the period of time as 14 months rather than 3 1/2 years. 14 months is probably not long enough to wait. I suggest that you make an effort to communicate with your ex regarding this matter.
