What is the name of your state? Texas

I need to get a certified copy of my divorce decree because it was lost in a move. I need to change my name back to my maiden name(it was ordered in my divorce). I have looked at a ton of sites that charge you for this - but am not sure which to use. Does anyone know a site that is trustworthy to do this at?

Just contact the court house where you got your divorce....you know...by telephone...they can provide you a copy either for free or for a token cost.

I failed to mention the divorce was in Kansas(sorry - I live in Texas - he lives in Ks) and they only take requests by mail. It's cheaper that way so I guess I'll just do that.

I just did this for my husband. His divorce was in Kansas and we are now overseas. All I had to do was call the courthouse, get their fax number and then fax a request. They faxed back the divorce decree and amount due (in our case less than $5.00). The whole process took maybe 10 minutes. They would have also mailed the decree at our request, but we needed it in a hurry. The "written request" they ask for can be done by fax or email.

(Just to cover myself- at least at the courthouse we dealt with the written request can be faxed or emailed. As always your experience may differ.)
