IF your wife has an attorney, or is smart, she will be able to file a motion asking the court to ORDER YOU to PAY the mortgage and NOT let it go into foreclosure. So, the legal answer to your question is: NO, there really isn't any LEGAL way for you to allow foreclosure. Let the house go into foreclosure FIRST, before the divorce or any legal action is taken. Then pick the appropriate time to file for divorce.

Actually that would be helping the guy because if he lets it go into foreclosure before filing the they cant go back and make him pay her half the value.
