Divorce from an illegal who's in jail out of state

Knocked up 10 yrs ago in tx, I was 19, married the illegal immigrant. Had child moved to Mn after 3 yrs with child but without husband. Good relationship with grandparents in tx, child lives with them in summer, lives and goes to school with me in Mn. Husband arrested for soliciting a minor for sex on line busted in a sting operation 2013...did time for that crime but still in jail on immigration hold. My fault for dragging my feet on divorce but now....he informs me has a hearing for release(?) And wants me and daughter to come down for it....and the grandparents, who I talk to frequently, recently would transfer money I to my bank account and then have me deposit it into jailed husband's commissary account. Stopped that cause I live on govt assistance. I have no interest or love or affection for him and after we married never went thru with paperwork to make him ' legal'. Grandparents are very very against me divorcing him and now I fear, in these last few months, I've been sorta set up to help his release and possible citizenship and parental rights. They have money, I don't. Right now I'm looking for thoughts on this matter...

File for divorce in MN, serve him at the detention center, and do NOT go to TX on his behalf. You also might want to reconsider the child spending entire summers with the grandparents if you do not want her to be used to help get his release and legal status in the US.
