hELLO, i was married in nj, now reside in il. i was married 8-6-1986, then moved to germany with husband. 2 weeks after i got to germany, the mp's had to pull him out of the house for hitting me. i was told by the chaplin that he needed counseling, but refused help. the chaplin told me to just go back to nj. well in jan. 1987 i came home. i've not seen my husband since then. i spoke to him once on the phone in 1990. he told me he was living in new orleans. my question is this, which would be the easiest & cheapest route to finally be rid of him, divorce or having him declared legally dead? and how do i go about doing the one you chose? tahnkyou for reading this, and hopefully helping me.

The big question is, and I am almost too afraid to ask, is he 'actually' dead? or do you just want to declare him dead? Or are you planning ahead? for nature to take its course or have you been watching to much of the Sopranos?
