how do i find out if divorce was finalized in arkansas. papers(waiver of notice and appearance) was signed in 1988 and numerous phone calls to lawyer have not received a reply(am currently living in another state(ny)

My response:

You'll need to call and speak with the current Civil Filing Clerk in the court where your dissolution proceedings were held. Give all identifying information; name, case name, case number, etc., so the clerk can locate your file. Then, ask for instructions how you can get a Certified copy of your divorce decree.
