What is the name of your state? What is the name of your state?Georgia
I was about to file a "pro se" uncontested divorce with the financial aspects(no kids) agreed upon by both of us and now I find out that my husband has been in an adulterous relationship for years and a child possibly born out of it(DNA test result pending). I don't have the money to hire a lawyer to file a contested divorce, can the uncontested divorce papers be amended to show adultery as the reason for the divorce? He will not pay for it because he does not want the real cause of the divorce to be known.

I don't know if it's appropriate for me to respond. I'm new to this forum. However, I am from Georgia and filed Pro Se and am now divorced. My filing fees were only $80. In reading your post I'm just thinking you'd be better off to just proceed with what I'm assuming are the grounds of being "irretrievably broken" [I believe that's what it was called in Georgia] and let it go at that. My ex had turned 60, was having some type of age crisis, and was having multiple affairs. In the long run, I would have gained nothing to have included his adultery in my divorce documents.

Just a thought.
