My fiance is doing a year in prison while there he wants to get divorced from his wife of 10 years they seperated in 1991 after 1 year of marriage. He is in Michigan was also married in that state his wife is in Louisiana but he doesn't know how to reach her. He is filing indigent but since he can't locate her how can he get this done without an attorney. Since he is in prison and filing indigent can he get it done without a big headache without the help of an attorney? When he filed in 1995 he sent the papers to her home but she would not sign for them so he didn't get the divorce then. Obviously funds are quite low at this time if anyone has any advice it would truly be appreciated. Also if he put an ad in the paper looking for her can he use it or does he need an attorney for that?
