Divorce wife in AZ, husband in CA, where to file?

Husband and wife have been separated, Husband is resident of California, wife is resident of Arizona, can wife file for divorce in Arizona? Is it optional where to file for divorce, e.g. either AZ or CA?? Marriage was in CA. In AZ, the waiting period is shorter, only 60 days or so vs 6 months in CA.

Wife could file in AZ, husband could file in CA. However, if there are any children involved custody of children could only be determined by the courts in the state where the children are living.
