Divorce

My brothers spouse filed for divorce six months ago in Califonia he replied accordingly and they both have lawyers however now she is not responding at all therefor delaying the divorce process and my brother really wants to finalise he has been told by his lawyer she dont have a deadline to meet and can take her time . Is there anyway he can speed this process up??? His lawyer has proposed court dates and has had no reply from her or her lawyer. Can he file against her instead or what are his options?????

I don't know anything about California law, but your brother should ask his lawyer if there is such a thing as a default divorce there.
