I live in Atlanta,GA. I filed for divorce about 2 years ago, am i divorced? My spouse never contested my papers. We did not go to court. He just wouldn't respond.

My response:

Go to the courthouse where the Petition was filed. You're looking for your court file, and if the judge signed a final decree of divorce.

If there is a signed decree, have the Clerk make a Certified Copy of it for your records. If there is a decree, you're divorce. If not, then you're still married.
