I am a 50 y/o residing in NYC , when I was 17y/o I got married by the Catholic Church. A few months later we were separated, and I haven't seen my wife since. I would like to remarry in the Catholic Church, However I first need to serve my wife with divorce papers. How can I find her? I dont have any indenification, knowledge of her family, and dont know her social security number.

Please help. Only serious responses please. Thank you.

My response:

You see a Family Law attorney, who will then have the Petition published in a newspaper of general circulation. When she fails to see the newspaper Notice, and fails to respond to the Petition, the judge will grant the divorce on the Default.

There's a lot more to this, but basically, this is what will happen.
