i am a resident of pennsylvania and filed for a divorce in 1994 i believe my wife had never signed the papers and i did not find out until years later when i was gonna get remarried i have been trying to obtain this divorce for a few years now with no luck at all 1}the divorce is stilled filed in the court system 2} i have searched for my wife with no result in finding her to serve the proper papers to her i was wondering what i can do and if there is any statute or law about being unable to locate her and what can i do from here please help i want to remarry soon

p.s. we were married in west virginia but pennsylvania residents and i also cannot afford a lawyer at all

You say you can't afford an attorney, but if your situation is as you describe it, you can't afford NOT to have an attorney.

There is probably a Legal Aid Society in your state that can offer you free or cheap legal advice.

There are ways to give notice sufficient for a divorce to be granted even if you cannot find the other party (such as publication of an ad in a local newspaper), but those laws vary from state to state.

Most attorneys don't charge for an initial consultation. Talk to an attorney in your state and see what your options are.
