I live in NYS. Nassau County, LI. I am presently married for 13 years and was just served papers for divorce by my husband. The house is in his name. Can he get a 2nd mortgage or refinance the house without my consent? How can I prevent him from doing this? He has threatened to bankrupt us if he doesnt get the kids? He has threatened my life and the kids life if he doesnt get the kids?
