My husband and I have been separated since July 1993. He lives in California and I live in Kansas. Is there such a thing as common law divorce? Since I have heard that if a couple lives together and assumes marital relations, they are considered common law married. If a person is missing and presumed dead then after 7 years I am told they can be declared legally dead, so after 7 years of complete separation, can we be declared legally divorced? Is there a time limit?
