I was married in Augusta, GA and I want to file for a divorce/annulment. My question is this, can I file anywhere in GA, or do I have to go back to Augusta?

My response:

As long as you've met the residency requirements of the county where you live, you can file right where you live. As a matter of fact, even if you lived in another State, as long as you've met the State and County residency requirements of that other State, you could file there also. Marriage in one particular County and State does not limit your ability to file anywhere else.

Good luck.
