i am comtemplating getting a divorce. i live in alabama. my husband and i have been together for 12 years but we've only been married 1 1/2 years. we are currently separated. i have caught him with the other lady on at least two occasions. a friend of mine said that i could file for a fault divore on the grounds of adultery and that i could also sue the lady who is having the affair with my husband for "allienation of affection". is this true? if so, excatly what does this mean? I would only do this if she denies that the relationship existed. my husband of course denies an affair even though he spent the night with her - he claims nothing happened. i just want to know what my options are. also what is the difference beween a legal separation and divorce?
